Kristy Valdivia of Crew Collective Design created beautiful designs for our bathroom remodel. She made a challenging project enjoyable and fun. We had to replace both of our bathrooms in our historical mid-century house after our entire below ground plumbing had to be jack hammered out and replaced. Once the plumbing work was done we were left with a mess and a lot of decisions to make. We wanted to replace everything in both bathrooms except for original cabinets. Luckily we can do a lot of the work ourselves but trying to decide on shower tile, countertops, flooring, lighting, and fixtures was overwhelming. We wanted to make sure we kept the mid-century aesthetic. After going to one tile and flooring store we knew we were in trouble! Thank goodness Kristy took over. She met with us and talked to us about styles we liked and provided us with some fabulous options and inspirations. We were blown away by the design website she uses which helped narrow our decision. The website has lots of design photos with links to online store fronts for easy browsing. The website allows you to ask questions and receive feedback to help narrow down choices. Kristy also gave us great designs to update our dingy entrance and hallway! We competed demo of one bathroom including removing the outdated tub and are in the process of replumbing the shower. We are going with tiles with great texture matching the style of the house: ribbon tile, pebble floor tile, brushed nickel hardware, mid century vanity lights, and Calcutta quartz counter tops. We will be starting to add tile soon!
